I was on a mission to see what I could find in the macro world this morning, first stop was the bathroom and in looking out my window I was amazed by the ice crystals, I have always been attracted to the sparkles with the bright prism colors of the rainbow, but have never been able to capture them with my camera, I think they exceed the dynamic range of most sensors. Anyway, I digress, but I did find this amazing abstract miniature ice shelf complete with a awesome shadow and drops of water showing their beautiful surface tension. It has since melted, it had a very short life, but I have recorded record of its beautiful existence.

There’s no Exif data in the image, so for all the pixel peepers, here it is:
Nikon D300, 105mm f/2.8 VR Macro lens shot at 1/125 sec at f/16, Iso 200 and processed with Adobe Lightroom 2 with the added touch of Tony Sweets secret weapon, I can’t tell you what that is.
