I love Folly Beach has a magical feeling to the place. I spent endless hours walking on its beautiful sands. This island has a old wooden pier, this pier held a strong composition for me, blending man-made architecture with nature and reminds me of old New Jersey shore piers that I hung out at as a kid.
This image was brought to life after looking at the awesome work of Peter Lik. I have watched all his TV shows and he has been a real motivating force in my photography. Check out Peters photograph of a pier in La Jolla, California which was the inspiration for this post.
