This location has been in the back of my mind for a few years and today in spite of the freezing weather I made this photography of this farm in the Pine Barrens. I had a row of hundred year of spruce trees which blocked the wind, you can see some of the swirling snow in the far off distance. I am never very far from a tree in any of my pictures.
I just got back from a Clyde Butcher talk in Florida which greatly influenced me, as he is one of the worlds great landscape photographers.
I broke out the old Nikon D800 and the wide angel lens, 12-24mm f2.8 FX lens.
