I was chasing fog on this day, some photographers chase light, some chase fog thinking it will create some magical image.

This morning there was only one shot at this location even thou I worked the scene to no end.
I was isn’t getting what I wanted, which was no hand of man in the image, so I gave in to the gentleman and his dogs who want the stay in the frame.
How strong, vital, enduring! how dumbly eloquent! What suggestions of imperturbability and being, as against the human trait of mere seeming. Then the qualities, almost emotional, palpably artistic, heroic, of a tree; so innocent and harmless, yet so savage. It is, yet says nothing.
