I always wanted to visit Bartram Gardens, the place where I was brought into this world, but the real reason was to learn more about John Bartram and see and feel this place that was the birth place of botany.
Bartram Gardens is America’s oldest living botanical garden features an 18th century farmstead, native plants, wildflower meadow, and wetland.
Bartram’s Garden is a 50-acre public garden and National Historic Landmark in Southwest Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, situated on Lenape territory on the banks of the Tidal Schuylkill River. It is a venue for art, an access to the tidal river and wetlands, an outdoor classroom, and a living laboratory. Wikipedia
