Tree Collection Update 5-12-2022
My goal is to be adding all my big trees and tree collections that I have collected over the years to this post. The truth is that I am a tree hugger. I to use to run a blog called Big Tree Registry. Found some old ones that I would like to add to the https://www.nj.gov/dep/parksandforests/forest/bigtrees/
The lone tree symbolizes the tree of knowledge. Trees always live in a community, not alone. When they are separated from the community they are forced to live a lone, in a solitary life. Whenever a tree is cut down near where I live, I get upset. I have an immediate emotional reaction, bypassing my brain. There were several lone trees and a couple of stands of trees near our house, in other people’s gardens. There is now only one large red gum along a curb, and the rest are deciduous trees. Two large majestic red gums have been cut down and two scruffier groups of gums; all homes to bird families and who knows how many other creatures and insects. Cut down because branches were falling on someone’s fence or leaves were clogging up the guttering or the wife or husband thought they were unsightly. Stupid reasons; pathetic reasons to kill something.

I love photographs of trees. You’re very skillful and artistic in your capture of them. I must, must, must visit the Angel Tree sometime soon.
Thanks for the visit and the kind words.
