Jake’s Landing Boat Ramp Re-Visited 06-15-2022 North Dennis
A couple of days ago, I took a trip to Jake’s Landing Boat Ramp. The reason was to re-visit the area and connect to the energy there. I got more than I expected with strong connection to nature. The strawberry fly were terrible and attacked me at my first stop. What a welcome.
When driving into the area on an old paved sing lane road, I spied a grave site. Here’s an image that I too.

I recovered from the attack and was prepared to meet some chiggers and other challenges.
I was looking to make a better image of some dead cedars in the landscape that I had a strong connection with.
I first visited this search in search of trees images 14 years ago for a commission I was working on. The commission was for the famous activist, environmentalist “Ruth Fisher” from Cape May County. I am sad she is no longer with us physically, but I feel her spirit.
Light was not good, but feeling was great, something about how vast open plains effects the human physic. It is very uplifting.
I hope to go back soon to visit the Perlak Gallery and Sculpture Gardens.
I shall return for a sun rise shoot.
I photographed this for a commission of the wet lands of the Delaware Bay Area and spent months in this beautiful area which I learned to love. If you ever get a chance to visit North Dennis, just do it!
