A quick trip and hike around Batsto Village uncover some new locations and new way of looking at things through the eye of a new 14-24 mm f/2.8 Nikon lens. The light was flat at sunrise, but several hours some awesome clouds broke through, so he who waits is rewarded with a beautiful landscape photograph.
The House, they wouldn’t let me photograph the inside of the building.
I also did one HDR image in a totally dark building which came out awesome, I think that my new lens and Nik Efex HDR pro software will give me a competitive edge in the landscape photography world. Watch out Clyde Butcher

I really like the detail in the macro shots of the various pieces of equipment. But a great record of a visit to an intriguing place. Nice use of black and white in some of the images as well!
Hello Steve; Thanks for the visit and comments.
The closeup photographs of the tools and hardware are quite interesting. The light and texture really make the image(s). Very nicely done.
I like the outdoor of the building, that is a really interesting building to say the least! Inside is pretty interesting as well. I am thinking about learning more about how to do HDR…
Hey Chris; Thanks for visit and give HDR a spin, you might like it cause it can add more DR like the human eye.
Interesting! Specially the picture at the bottom. Can you tell us more about it?
The room was very dark, little side light, I hand held it and used bracketing to get 7 images, +- 1 stop EV. The images and then processed with a program called Nik HDR Pro, I them makes selection based on the look and fell that I like, its very easy to do, It’s called High Dynamic Range or HDR.
