Updates from January 15, 2023.
OK, I went back on 01-16-2023 and here what I saw. The waves never make mistakes. I love Long Beach Island and try to spend as much time as I can. Its a very health place and we need all the health we can get.
“I will find comfort in the rhythm of the sea.” “We are like islands in the sea, separate on the surface but connected on the deep.” “Dance with the waves, move with the sea, let the rhythm of the water set your soul free.” “The sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in its net of wonder forever.”
The waves at the ocean in Surf City, NJ
These photographs are taken at Surf City, New Jersey on 1/15/2023.
I long to go back to the ocean, the ocean anywhere, anytime.

The Sea at Cape May
What is it about the sea that draws us near, is it the connection to water which has the same chemistry as our blood? I love to hear the sounds the ocean makes, the power of the pounding surf, or is the silence between the waves? It is only now that I can think about it, as I am disconnected from its environment, but I can still feel me being pulled back to it.
The next time, I’ll do an HD video with sound, so I will be able to hear it again.

I love waves and the ocean and my only wish is to live on the beach so I could hear the waves at night, before I fall a sleep. Seeing the beach again, reminds me of days past when I lived on the beach in Indialantic-By-The-Sea. Indialantic is a town in Brevard County, Florida. The town’s population was 2,720 at the 2010 United States Census. It is part of the Palm Bay–Melbourne–Titusville Metropolitan.

We actually seldom see photographs of “just waves”; usually people want to include a sunset, a dock or a lighthouse. These images of lonely waves are beautiful and relaxing.
I love waves too, and living in Minnesota, my opportunities to photograph them are zero. But I’ve been to Hawaii a couple of times and caught some nice ones there.
Thanks for the visit and comments. I’m in the process of combining all my Ocean-Waves photographs. I’ve never been to Hawaii. Not only that, but I’ll check out your site.
Watching the wave is a mesmerizing endeavor. Living at the beach in Delaware, not much farther down the coast from where you shot these images, I often just stand by water’s edge and simply watch. You have captured the essence of the surf very well. I have enjoyed seeing these photographs – as I am sure other will enjoy them.
WOW, Bill, you’re a lucky guy, which reflects in your great photographs. Thanks for the visit.
