Crocus Flower Sign of Spring
Ok, they are not blooming, and I can’t wait for this winter to end.
Not yet are the Crocus are blooming, mother natures says it Spring!
Healthier people with more muscle mass enjoy colder temperatures because their higher metabolic rate generates more warmth and makes them less likely to feel the cold and more likely to sweat uncomfortably in the heat. Excess fat can have a similar effect, though fat does not generate heat nearly as well as muscle mass.
Look at the native populations in hot and cold areas for more evidence. Iceland gets rather frigid, and they are the strongest people on the planet, with very large frames and above average musculature. Conversely, groups in Africa or America that are used to extreme heat/humidity tend to have thinner frames that generate less thermic energy. If you were to switch the two groups, neither would be very happy or have the same quality of life.
People with chronic pain may prefer the cold, since cold dulls the nerves a bit. Though heat relaxes the muscles, so people with muscular pain may prefer heat instead. People with poor circulation or low cardiovascular health would also would prefer the heat, since heat dilates the blood vessels.
The cold weather is a bummer. Different strokes for different folks. Cope, maybe you start to see beside yourself because you aren’t the center of the universe.
