I shot these images at the site of Stamping Mill built on the Green Limb Branch. Locally called “Tunking Mill” from the sound of the blows of heavy hammers.
Before the bog iron could be put into the blast furnace, it first went through the stamping mill to crush it and conform it to uniform, usable sizes for the furnace.
