Stuff that I have photographed, anything goes.
Created over the millennia, healing crystals harness the life giving elements of the Earth and the universe.Stupidity’s never blind or mute. So it’s not a problem of getting people to express themselves, but of providing little gaps of solitude and silence in which they might eventually find something to say. Repressive forces don’t stop people expressing themselves but rather force them to express themselves; what a relief to have nothing to say, the right to say nothing, because only then is there a chance of framing the rare, and ever rarer, thing that might be worth saying.
We’re riddled with pointless talk, insane quantities of words and images.

I need to get out of here!

My best side

budd cars

In the process of my move and down sizing I found some old film photos I shot in my early days of photography. I started in black and white photography. I had found memories of riding the rials in this cars as my aunt took me to Cape May NJ which I end up living in North Cape May in the 60’s.
The Pennsylvania-Reading Seashore Lines (PRSL) was a joint venture of the Pennsylvania Railroad and Reading Railroad in South Jersey. Both railroads had built rail networks in the region, but the Great Depression cut into profits. The ICC forced both railroads into a merger. The two companies joined their southern New Jersey lines on June 25, 1933 into one company, which the PRR had a 2/3 ownership in.

You can easily spot Ford’s Garage from the antique Ford often parked out front. It’s also usually distinguishable by the large crowds perched at the outdoor tables and milling about the sidewalk. This craft burger joint serves it’s creative combos until 1:30 on the weekends and stays open later than most spots during the week. It’s also popular with beer lovers, serving more than 100 on tap and by the bottler. The decor is unique and impressive, with an old Model T hanging above the bar, well-placed gas pumps and other items fitting the vintage automotive theme by day, speakeasy by night theme.

This week’s First Friday Challenge is vehicles. I dusted off this old .jpg of a Duesenberg automobile from Charleston, South Carolina. Enjoy the image and let it take you back to the old days, when life was simpler.
I love Charleston, SC and can’t wait to go back with my Wife and daughter.
SYMA-X8C Lost if found return to Louis Dallara, TIA
RTH I got a little nervous so I hit the return to home switch, test the function and it worked perfectly, building my confidence.
My make shift landing gear extensions, the stock ones just are to short.
I started aerial photography a few months ago and it’s been a interesting and exciting learning curve. I started with a SYMA X8C Quad copter and had a night fly away, I really miss my SYMA we had some pretty good times together, I still hope to find her some day. The lessons I learned was don’t get over confident and put your names and phone no on the aircraft in case some nice person finds it and decides to return it.
I replaced the quad-copter with Quanum Nova which is a open source model with GPS.
I crashed it on the second flight and rebuilt it. Today I flew the newly rebuilt CX-20 Quanum Nova with a landing gear that I designed
and had three great flights/ I tested the RTH return to home feature it it worked well, landed automatically. I got a ways too go before I mount a Go-pro on it, but I’m really excited about my progress. Enjoys my cell phone photos and please leave comment.

I found these angels along the road, I guess they are watching over me.
LYRICS for “Angels” from “Allday”: Yeah well this is for the angels, I used to skip school go hang out at my … I cross the road with my eyes closed. Yeah … She’d come round in her dads car, she drove that shit like nascar … I think they stop believing I’m coming like Santa … If there’s angles watching over me
I’ve been wanting to get involved with aerial photography for some time, but it always appeared to be to expensive and required too much planning which for a landscape photographer like my self is enough to nuke it. The weather becomes a much more important factor, the reason being one cannot fly in bad weather, but bad weather can create some really dramatic photographs, there lives the problem.
Now, get this, there are these drones promising to create some new, low cost opportunities for us photographers.
I have been following the great work of Russell Preston Brown aka Dr Brown Facebook. His aerial photography has really inspired me, that in addition to me loving technology, so when I spied a local Meetup group for drones called “CNJ Heavy Flyers Drone Film Club” I signed up and went to one of there Meet N Greet/Show N Fly at Hamilton NJ Veterans Park. The group is very knowledgeable and friendly. The assistant organizer spent a lot of time teaching the basics, the best part was I got to fly his Iris Drone, WOW what a treat, now want one.
While easy it is to fly, the difficult part comes in making interesting photographs, this is a another skill which requires a new way of seeing and can require a First-person view (FPV) for your drone, if not you are guessing what the drone sees.
I have included a series of photos from the outing and my first flight. I hope to add some You tube videos soon.
